I was actually rather mystified when my son’s teacher announced that the Al Khubairat British School would be going to the Golf Club for a field trip. Intrigued I offered to accompany them and was astounded to see the variety of exotic bird life. In addition to the beautifully designed greens and shrubberies, the club has seven salt-water lakes. The whole design whether intentionally or unintentionally has provided a perfect environment for wild-life and it is not uncommon to see a heron or lilac crested roller swoop past you as you play.
The 19th hole at The Golf Club, 1001 nights, offers the perfect golf vacation sundowner. Happy Hours are from 5.00pm until 8.00pm – Please note children under 18 are not permitted after 7.00pm.
These Top End Facilities also offer several great dining options. Café 37 is open between 6 am and midnight to provide delicious light snacks from the al a carte menu. At the other end of the scale try freshly prepared sushi and sashimi at the Club’s Sushi bar. The Sushi Bar is open every day except Mondays from 1pm – 10pm.
The Abu Dhabi Golf
Club by Sheraton also features Casa Verde which offers Mediterranean style dishes. And is open daily between 12noon – 3pm (until 4pm at weekends) and from 6pm – 11pm.
