Getting the best room at the Intercon - Abu DhabiKnown locally simple as 'The Intercon', if you are going to stay I would definitely recommend a Sea View room,. To me this would make a great difference to the quality of your stay at this hotel.The Intercon has some great places to eat. In particular I love the Tapas bar and, for a special treat, The Fish Market. The Beach at 'The Intercon' is one of the best in Abu Dhabi. The pool is older than in some of the City's other hotels and is also quite a way from the Beach. This may be a disadvantage if you are travelling with younger children, if they are anything like mine, and constantly change their mind as to whether they want to be at the pool or the beach! The Hotel is on the edge of the City but only a short taxi ride from City Centre amenities, including the newly extended Marina shopping Mall. Must do from this Hotel is a trip around the Emirates Palace Hotel. The Emirates Palace is only minutes from the Hotel and is definitely worth a tour and high tea is very special indeed.
