Abu Dhabi Luxury Island Guide to Abu Dhabi Restaurants
So how do you choose the best Restaurant in Abu Dhabi?
Abu Dhabi has some truly wonderful restaurants that will be sure to wow you.
You can pick up almost any Abu Dhabi Guide and find a list of Restaurants, but I want to tell you about the really good places that I have personally been to. Places that you might not find in other guide books, or places that are just too good to miss.
Some of my recommendations fall into more than one category, so I have listed them in all the appropriate ones.
If like myself you like to start your evening with a pre-dinner drink or cocktail
look for the great happy hour offers, available at many of the Abu Dhabi bars.

Dress Code Restaurants - Abu Dhabi
Night time in the City is smart casual/chic. You can get away with casual in the Bars, but you may feel under-dressed in Restaurants. As a rule shorts/beachwear/beach shoes are not acceptable in Bars or Dining venues in the evening.
Most establishments tend to have their air conditioners running full blast. The easiest and smartest way for Ladies is to buy a Pashmina from your Hotel shop, souk or for a good supply of inexpensive Pashminas try the furniture/souvenir store above Spinneys supermarket.
As a general rule Restaurants which are attached to Five Star Hotels are licensed. You must be a non-Muslim and aged 21 or over to be served alcohol in Abu Dhabi.
Dining at Hotel Restaurants is very popular in Abu Dhabi, so book ahead, if you can.
In keeping with local tradition meals are eaten later. Most places don't start to get busy until around 8.30pm onwards. If you want to avoid the crowd go early (most restaurants open around 7.30 pm), but if you like to eat in a place with a little atmosphere book your table for later in the evening.
